“To Podesta who wrote this it means destroy the emails.”
Precisely. Dump is a euphemism, or a word used to make something bad seem not so bad.
“Dump” doesn’t sound as bad as: “We’re going to have to *delete* these e-mails—even though there is an outstanding subpoena for them so that deleting them would be obstruction of justice, perjury and contempt, and that’s just for starters if we don’t dump them—and the sooner the better.”
(Enthymeme: Because if we don’t `dump’ them all our heads are in nooses.)
The quibbling I see here to square this circle for Hillary is absolutely Clintonesque.
I think we are seeing evidence that the media talking heads are growing tired of having to square Clintonesque circles.
Doug Shoen, Michael Moore, Chris Matthews, Anderson Cooper, Matt Lauer...all of them aren't on our side, but I'm sensing they just don't want to do this "saving the Clintons" thing again.
I think they'd rather just clean the slate and plan to be the opposition to a Trump administration. And, honestly, won't that be far easier, won't it bring just as many viewers, and won't it get their own heads out of the Clinton noose?
Honestly, I think these people might be looking for greener pastures.
Excellent word choice & usage!
Well, trying to predict the leftist spin is a time honored game around here, so it doesn’t necessarily make the poster an agent... but some of them are.
