I think a lot of people have no idea how many copies of emails routinely get made. When I worked for a certain business, a pogrom of sorts happened where everyone was forced to get rid of all emails over a certain age and adopt controlled retention going forward. Never say anything in an email that you’re not prepared to testify about in court.
