Thanks for responding. I think Obama would mind a Trump victory less now than he would have even a week ago for two reasons: after last Friday, if Trump wins, Obama and all the media will frame it not as a reflection of how voters feel about Obama’s policies than about how corrupt HRC is; and if HRC wins, she will so embattled as a President who is under criminal investigation that she keeping Obama’said legacy will be something she has no time or capacity for. She will be waging war with the FBI, as well as members of her own party who may pressure to resign.

I agree with you there. Plan B will work for Obama. For Obama, his legacy is the most important goal. And he has already said that he doesn’t plan on fading into the background after his term is over as presidents traditionally do. He plans to remain vocal and throw his weight around. I expect him to forcefully oppose any policy decisions that would reflect negatively on his legacy. His prestige as a former president and his ever handy race card will continue to be used whenever he deems useful.
