If backup is occuring. 33,000 subpoenaed emails disappeared with no consequences. So could 650,000. “We regret to inform the American people that the hard drive was accidentally destroyed during retrieval. No emails survived.”. Do not give the DOJ custody of the originals.

I’m sure the NYPD has copies - after all, it was their evidence first.

Some honest Cop is going to back this up several times and put them in several different safe places. It’s easy and fast as 1, 2, 3. They should have done this before they the FBI started to work on the 4 different devices.
