It should be possible to post an article that supports the point that the vanity opinion wishes to make and then add the vanity text in the Body of Comment box. We’re in a period of heightened anxiety about the affairs of the nation and vanity posters want only to have readers apprised of their various epiphanies, many of which have merit, so patience should be exercised for the time being.

Yes, that's the intent. But, be sure to search for the article first, and post your vanity/comment to any existing thread before starting a new one.

And: blog posts don't count! Most blog posts reference a lamestream media article. Search for that article, and post your comment on that -- or post the blog comment on that, instead of starting a new post.

There are quality blog posts that offer new or original information beyond pointless speculation or editorializing, but they are pretty rare. That requires some judgement to determine if a new post is warranted.
