FBI investigators will exonerate Hillary Clinton for the second time this year, a top House Democrat said in response to news that the agency found new emails "pertinent" to the probe of Clinton's private email server.
"Nothing in today's letter suggests that the FBI or the Department of Justice will reach a different conclusion than the one they reached months ago, when they decided criminal prosecution was unwarranted," Michigan Rep. John Conyers, the top Democrat on the House Judiciary Committee, said Friday.
FBI Director James Comey shocked D.C. with a short letter to several members of Congress that said he was reopening the Clinton email investigation.
"In connection with an unrelated case, the FBI has learned of the existence of emails that appear to be pertinent to the investigation," he wrote. "I agreed that the FBI should take appropriate investigative steps designed to allow investigators to review these emails to determine whether they contain classified information, as well as to assess their importance to our investigation."

The new emails reportedly were obtained during an investigation of former Rep. Anthony Weiner's sexting scandal; the New York Democrat is the estranged husband of longtime Clinton aide Huma Abedin.
Comey's letter, cryptic as it was, led Republicans to believe that Clinton may be at risk of indictment once again, despite Comey's earlier decision not to recommend that the Justice Department charge Clinton for her "extremely careless" handling of classified information.
"Whatever new evidence has been found should be thoroughly investigated, and I hope that unlike with the prior investigation Director Comey will demonstrate the courage to uphold the law and restore the integrity of the FBI," Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, said in response to the letter. "Elected officials, no matter how high their position, should be held accountable for criminal conduct. The rule of law matters, and it should apply equally and fairly to us all."
Conyers dismissed such statements as wishful thinking. "Donald Trump and his allies seem to put their faith in the integrity of the FBI only when it serves their political purposes," he said. "I would expect that this investigation will continue to be impartial, and that this additional step taken only in an abundance of caution will further clear Secretary Clinton of any wrongdoing."
Regardless of what comes out about the content of this “new evidence”, it it totally absurd to suggest that what Comey has already done (announcing the reopening of investigations) is going to somehow help Hillary.
The damage is done... Comey knows very well right now where he stands with Hillary, and that his position and decision is irreversible where impact is concerned.
It’s ‘James’ not John Comey.
Covenantor, What do you have against the noble dung beetle. But do give Comey a break. After viewing those home videos of his visit to Jeffrey Epstein’s island he does not have much of a choice.
yeah, I know, but the graphic still works and millenials won’t notice the error.
;>)
John Conyers? Now there is a man who needs investigating!

Useful for sure but a real dung beetle has to draw the line somewhere. There’s crap that is just too much even for them.
By the same token, nothing suggests differently either. I makes absolutely no sense to announce this unless there's something of substance to it.
Of course it’s fixed. How else would this Democrat know?
Watching the media and the Clintonistas squirm and sputter yesterday suggests to me that they were blindsided by this.
Whether you are right in the particulars is unknown at this point, but I suspect the general outline is correct. There is information out there that Comey knows he can’t control so he had to get out in front of it.
I believe they will, but if they do it within the week, it will look very, very suspicious.
Eventually, this is going to touch every RAT. They are all a part of the Clinton Cabal. Their tenacles have a long reach.

I doubt that Conyers has any more information than you or I, but is making this statement purely wishful thinking. His job, as part of the dem "leadership", was to hustle his ass in front of the media and provide damage control in the form of a statement they can repeat to calm the sheeple.
Even if she is exonerated again, grave damage to her campaign has already been inflicted, and from a source (FBI) that no one ever anticipated.
The new FBI developments are interesting as far they go, but:
Wikileaks releases e-mails showing corruption, then Veritas releases video collected over a year showing the same corruption as the e-mails do.
Wikileaks and Veritas prove numerous instances of criminality.
Keep your eye on the ball. Comey could be staging a diversion.
Got to laugh at Dems and their spin. Conyers wife was convicted of bribery in 2010 and was sentenced to 37 months in prison. I wouldnt believe a word he says.
Regardless, those emails being on Weiner's devices are ENOUGH right now to throw Hillary's whole campaign into chaos and at the very least Comey HAS to prosecute someone associated extremely close to Hillary if not herself or he ends up looking beyond stupid incompetent.
No treachery! No fix! From Clintons latest press conference you could tell she was lying and that she thinks she has lost. Election over. In just a few weeks president-elect Trump will be the talk of the planet.
