No disrespect intended to any of the FRiends on this thread, but I think there’s some over-analyzing going on.
My interpretation — Comey’s scared, probably facing a mutiny by senior agents, and scrambling to cover his sorry backside.
There may be other interpretations, but I always trust common sense first.
I agree, Comey’s basis for not prosecuting was ‘no reasonable prosecutor’ would bring the case. Now in light of all of the new material, how does this rationale hold water......
