Between a brewing revolt by rank-and-file agents and the increasing likelihood of a President Trump coming down on him personally, he’s doing what he has to to save not only his reputation, but the Bureau’s as well. I’ll tell you this much: if he does this thing properly - i.e., the way it should’ve been done to begin with - he’ll have my forgiveness.
