The other night, flipping through the channels was nothing but pandering for illegals. The networks didn’t even try to hide their agenda.
The original Hawaii 5-0 of forty years ago was very anti-handgun as were most of the detective shows of that time. Jack Lord was in favor of confiscating all handguns and his show was used for a platform to spew that anti-gun line.
His Stony Burk was not so anti-gun.
I'll bet that was the episode where the crazy guy climbed up into an old WWII defensive bunker with a scoped hunting rifle and started shooting people. That one wasn't seen in re-runs for almost twenty years.
It was also loaded with ridiculous half-baked psychoanalysis of the sniper's motivations. Jack Lord himself must've had a hand in editing that screenplay.
***Liberals insert political propaganda into entertainment.***
It began just after John Kennedy was murdered, and intensified after Bobby Kennedy was murdered. It was so bad adult shows on TV were dumbed down to kiddie shows, comic books changed their story lines, pulp magazines dropped the lurid blood soaked covers, movies on TV were hacked to pieces to remove “violence”.
But theater movie producers said they would police themselves with a joke of a ratings system and began to turn out the most vile violent movies possible, even re-shooting scenes to get the “R” rating.
Liberals insert political propaganda into entertainment. Hard to find a show that they don’t do that. I always try to point out to my family when they insert some subtle propaganda, and they rarely miss an opportunity.
Movies are no different. Have to watch old John Wayne movies to be propaganda free except for pro Indian stuff.
One season of Rizzoli & Isles had a Dr. Scholl’s bit in every episode. Right in the middle of show, someone would pull off their shoe and insert a cushion or carry around a blue and yellow box of them. There should have been a drinking game for the idiocy of it.
I remember it! OH that Connie Stevens! But back then there were several wonderful detective shows!
Surf Side Six
The Alaskans
Hawaiian Eye
Sunset Strip
Other anti-gun Tv shows
Streets of San Francisco
Quince M.E.
McLoud
Heck Ramsey
All in the Family
It seems anti-gun lines were written into all TV shows back then as they thought the public was so gullible!
Anyone remember the anti-gun, anti-hunting TV movie REVENGE FOR A RAPE?
***Kookie**
I always wondered why the Indians never scalped him in YELLOWSTONE KELLY. He had a beautiful set of hair to adorn any scalp pole.
Now that you mention it - that *was* odd. I remember seeing him do a "live via satellite" greeting on some network event - possibly the Rose Bowl parade. He was on horseback on a Hawaiian beach - and he was wearing an enormous straw hat with a floral printed hat band that matched his shirt. And a white neckerchief.
My dad was watching that broadcast. From that day forward, he was convinced that Jack Lord was gay.
The original Hawaii 5-0 was just as bad. In fact, essentially all cop shows are anti-gun. I believe I have never seen a cop show story line that involved a private citizen engaged in legitimate self defense.
As in "pass another law which 'criminals' will ignore"?
I seem to recall some rumors that the sleeves were to cover needle tracks. But, I don’t know.
That was it.

Was able to watch a few months ago on CBS.com but can’t get the links to work anymore.
