Just remember that no such promise was made. One of the reasons that people get so agitated is when people twist words and make it sound like someone promised something and did not deliver. Words mean things and should not be interpreted to be more than they are.

I think that by first giving America the videos that resulted in the firing (not that it means anything) of two big operatives, it established Veritas as having credible information.
