MTV in 2004 ran “news flashes” in the middle of programming (not just at commercial breaks) saying that President Bush was going to bring back the draft (even though both bill to so, in the House and Senate, were drafted and sponsored exclusively by Democrats).

Viacmmie-MTV almost bought MySpace.

Instead it was purchased by Newscorp (parent company to FoxNews and endorser of John F. Kerry for President in 2004).

No-nothings boycotted the Myspace byout by jumping ship almost immediately for Facebook (which has changed a LOT since 2010, when I joined).

Fox/Newscorp sold Myspace, don’t know who owns it and the interface there has completely changed. I’ve logged in to retrieve old photos but most of the rest of my content was “lost” in their relaunch.
