Bingo! I was an “R” but after our NC primary, I switched to Unaffiliated due to the shenanigans of the GOPe. My Dad & Husband are also unaffiliated. There will be 9 votes in my immediate family going to Donald Trump when we go to the polls. And btw, I have not seen one HiLIARy sign or bumper sticker in my area. The few signs/bumper stickers we see are for Trump.

That’s true in some cases but the number of registered Republicans in North Carolina has actually increased — not decreased — since this time in 2012.

If there were 5% fewer R’s in NC than there were 4 years ago then the number of early Republican voters being down 5% from 2012 to 2016 would make sense.

At least the number of Democrats has dropped more.
