No, there is a huge difference you have apparently missed: those in Christ have had their 'want to' changed by the Holy Spirit spark living in their before-dead human spirit. Yes, their sins have been cast 'into the ocean of never was' but they have also had their want to changed. A sure sign of not being regenerated by GOD's Spirit is no change in want to. Not an end to sinning, but a change in want to such that when we sin we cannot escape the sense of needing to go to the Lord and confess to HIM and be cleansed from the blot. Paul clearly taught that if a man can sin without that sense of 'horror at what I've done' and seek to stop it, then that one has not been born from above.
