Sister in law (a non-cannabis user) lives in Boulder, Co. She’s lived in Colorado for 25+ years. A couple of months back she was in to visit & I asked her what if any differences she could see since cannabis was legalized. She assured us she has seen zero change in the community since cannabis was legalized. She has kids in public school & in college. If this kind of stuff was really happening to the degree the article claims, she’d see it.
Vote Trump 2016
Someone in this thread claimed something similar, then later recommended Boulder and Denver be nuked.
My hometown of De Beque Colorado (pop. 500) has a new school thanks in large part to voting to allow dispensaries. Two shops have opened but there is also a large (non-THC) marijuana growing industry in the area. It pretty much kept the school open.
I went to college in Boulder. More than 25 years ago. There was a 24/7 parade of distributors of recreational pharmaceuticals on The Hill. The police tried to arrest one once and the rest turned the police car over and burned it. The Boulder described, the Boulder I remember, and the Boulder where “nothing has changed” could, actually, all be the same place.
