When you take in $500 million in illegal foreign government contributions you can waste money like this

Actually, Hillary's campaign reminds me more and more of the YES campaign to make Sweden abandon its currency and join the Euro (2003). Like Hillary's campaign it was supported by all the main political parties (I know, I know...), the media, the industry, the labour unions. The difference in financing between the YES and NO campaign was about 500 millions to 50 millions.

The YES campaign poured money all over the place, on silly events, on a massive ad campaign in Stockholm - the only town in Sweden the YES was bound to win - and one of the few places it actually did win.

In the end, despite being called “reprobates”, “isolationists” and being criticized by our betters for not understanding the issues (some of us had written books on the Euro years before the campaign started) we, the NO:s won 56 - 42.

The critique did not end there of course. “Lower class voters”, “mountain cattle farmers” apparently made up more than 50% of the Swedish electorate. Doom and gloom was predicted. The Swedish currency was expected to crash. The exchange rate did move down the first hours after the election result was in, and then it was stable.

Less than five years later Greece and the Euro crashed. Our currency lost much of its exchange value, but our economy kept stable, and people kept their jobs, whereas in the rest of the EU unemployment rate shot up.

And now 13 years later the British deplorables also showed their “masters” who really decides.

I expect the US citizenry to do the same on the 8th November.
