You forgot the disaster at Dieppe.
Churchill claimed that was “practice”. Basically, it was an overgrown commando raid that got squashed like a bug.
About 2500 dead and wounded on the Allied side. Canada alone lost almost 1000 infantryment killed, 600 wounded, and approximately 2000 captured. Quite a “commando raid.”
A failed commando raid. I am familiar with the figures. Dieppe was meant as a “dress rehearsal” for the actual invasion of France.
The Kuznetsov is not nuclear powered. She has just been through a minor refit. After this Mediterranean deployment she will go back to the Kola peninsula for a major upfit that will last a couple of years.
Some reports disagree. Jane’s not helpful.

[I’m not about to get into a pissing match about it]
Russian saber-rattling in the ME isn’t bothering anyone else, so nevermind.
If you look at the link that you posted those are “The Proposed Upgrades”. If the Kuznetsov had been nuclear upgraded the Russians would be boasting about it. It is one of the options as they plans to keep her in service until 2030.
Rosatom
I don’t care, b/c no one else thinks it’s anything to be concerned about. Nevermind. Rosatom
