US certain that WikiLeaks is part of Putin’s propaganda machine

Assange’s US hate has got the better of him

Remember the days when Wikileaks did decent work and provided a valid channel for whistleblowers? Well it looks like those days have long gone and the outfit has become a tool of Tsar Putin’s propaganda machine.

In the good-old days, Wikileaks actually was impartial and careful. Sure it tended to expose US atrocities but that was because there were more of them.

But now there is mounting evidence that the Russian government is supplying WikiLeaks with hacked emails as part of a plan to game the US election and put an oligarch friendly candidate into the White House.

While the allegations are coming from the Clinton campaign they are also being made by security companies and government officials.

One US official told CNN that the methods of the disclosures suggest Moscow is at least providing the information or is possibly directly responsible for the leaks. US intelligence officials are still investigating the degree of connection between Russia and WikiLeaks but they remain confident that Russia is behind the leaks themselves.

The Director of National Intelligence, which represents 19 US intelligence agencies including the Department of Homeland Security leveled unambiguous charges against Russia.

Meanwhile Wikileaks, or the Russians have been tipping off the Trump campaign. Roger Stone, a long-time adviser to Republican nominee Donald Trump, clearly had advance knowledge of the recent hack and publication of his emails on WikiLeaks. Of course he denied it.

Trump has called on Moscow to hack into Clinton's computers, downplayed criticism of Putin's authoritarian tendencies, tried to suggest that Russia hasn't hacked US systems and promoted foreign policy positions that jibe more closely with Moscow's than Washington's. He's relied on aides with ties to Russia and most recently, quoted and fake Russian news reports to raise questions about Clinton.

But in accepting the Russian emails, Assange has placed his organisation in a tricky place. Some of the emails are damaging to Clinton and should be looked at, but because the source is Russia, we cannot be certain if the emails are edited, taken out of context or even forged.

We are certain that a hack of the Republican servers would reveal similar emails, and if the Trump campaign server was turned over it would produce some pure comedy gold. Had WikiLeaks provided these, it would be seen as an effective tool for public information and there would have been no complaints.

Yet the fact that Assange has been unable to source this sort of material means that the Russians are not give it to him or would cut off his headline-grabbing Clinton emails gravy train. Assange might not care; he has made it pretty clear that he regards Clinton as responsible for him being locked up in the embassy – something which is his own fault. However, as a long-term policy decision that hamstrings Wikileaks and weakens the information that is presented on the site. It makes him entirely dependent on state run spying operations and propaganda efforts.

The Russians failed last week to deliver the goods on Clinton and had to publish it themselves. The information was pure Putin propaganda. At least Assange had the good sense not to release that. But it is increasingly difficult to tell what is true and what is not on WikiLeaks.

What a load of Democrap. If Wikileaks was actually the Russians, Assange would be roaming free in Moscow or some other Russian city, not rotting away in some “developing country’s” embassy.

I don’t mink things through sometimes. I’m not sure what happened this time. My fingers and my brain don’t always connect well.

Everyone is so used to the corruption on the left that no one challenges the Wikileaks e-mails as untrue. Everything on those leaks sounds exactly what the sleazeball left would be saying. So the Russian connection ain’t going to fly unless some solid proof is supplied.

The claim about Russia is meant to undermine support for Trump by planting the idea — without providing any actual evidence — that he’s in cahoots with a foreign government.....while US/Ndato can do likewise to excuse the movements they’re planning in “circling china” and teetering on Russia’s borders areas of influence....

Putins a counter-puncher and will always respond when he thinks he’s being threatened. US knows this and uses it against him frequently.

Syria now is a great example as the US continues to try and topple Assad. Everytime there’s a peace deal among the war actors there, it is always Obama/Hillary/Kerry backing out when it does not include Assad leaving.

“we cannot be certain if the emails are edited, taken out of context or even forged”

A Wikileaks-published email, say, from Podesta to “x”, can probably be verified because both Podesta and “x” probably still have copies of it. So these folks had better be careful if they claim a forgery.

Russia would not need Assange. Shutting down Assange would not stop Russia. In other words, Russia is not involved.

If any foreign intelligence gets into our stuff, they don't announce they've gotten into our stuff unless they wish us to stop them from getting into our stuff.

Americans need to understand how corrupt our government is, and look at the media as part and parcel of that corruption.

We should all be praying that the Democrats do not start a war with Russia to cover their tracks. It won't end well.

I agree ...it is a false statement.

Also ...I doubt all 19 agencies agree with the single head of all the NIA.....

Clearly he is saying what Obama told him to say and Hillary repeated it last Night!

Hillary said in the debate last night that 17 US intelligence agencies believe the Russians provided Wilileaks with her emails, isn’t that proof? /s

Who knows, if elected, Donald Trump might really help Putin by giving him control over a large portion of our strategic materials, like uranium. Oh wait!

If we had a real press instead of this toad-eater sycophant army that asks permission of Podesta prior to publishing an article, then some of this wiki stuff would have been caught early on, and actions would have been corrected. However, the Dems live in this false temple, built on a foundation of cotton candy, and they think they can say or do anything and have total freedom from scrutiny. Up until a month ago I would have believed them, but now the angels of vengeance have descended upon their unfortunate souls - showing the world of the ugliness inside.

We cannot have a true democracy unless we have an adversarial press. The public, with the expansion of the internet, is now that very important adversarial press, and the old press is a mere propaganda arm to feather their own nests by brown nosing those in power.

So much evidence of corruption, racial hate, religious bigotry, voter fraud, pay to play, lying, obstructing justice; the cesspool has been uncovered, and we are being spray washed with its contents.

The MSM still is mum and repeats the doofy Dem talking point about Russian manipulation. What a crock! I never heard about illegal break-ins when Sarah Palin’s emails were hacked, or when wikileaks revealed war secrets, or when Sony’s emails were revealed.

What is good for the goose is good for the gander. This cleansing has helped democracy, and the Republicans should get ready because they may be next.

Hey Podesta, did you change your password yet?

Here,....I thought we might have the idea that Hillary's comment about ALL 19 Intelligence Agencies said the Russian's did the hacking ...really came from ONE sou re...the Head of the NIA who reports directly to Obama....

Well sure,.... ever since the “New Silk Road” trade route was presented integrating Europe with China and Russia and Asia, with Bricks supporting. It was a direct threat to the Us Globalist Agenda of 'controlling trade'....

It was then, of course, Obama had his 'unplanned Asian Pivot' to try and deter that from happening via leverage and a hosts of other finagling, including sending Michele on a China visit ‘to hold his place’ there while he did his Asian ‘Pivot’. It was a rapid scuttle butt to intercede.

Obama and Hillary pushed Russia with sanctions etc....so just where did they think Russia would go to sustain his country after the Eu was hard pressed to support Obama when they really didn't want to. So out came the "pay offs" to Poland and a host of other countries bordering Russia to "secure" them with US bases they had long wanted someone else to pay for...and even now as we know Hillary had stated "we will circle China with Missiles"....which of course would affect Russia as well.

They are doing far more than poking the bear.....the globalists need to stop this conglomerate of Brics and those nations now joining from being competitive in their desire for World rule.....which if China and Russia establishes that trade route 'to Europe' which also connects Asia countries....tat would all but fully deminish US influence over there in trade.....thus the push for signing TPP as well.

And here you can see why Kazakistan has become such a pivital nation and why the immense construction and modernizing that nation..
