During the press conference Danny’s representative discussed the “DNA test” as an inconclusive result, which was overstated as clearing Clinton.
Bill Clinton had a half-brother, Leon Ritzenthaler, from his father’s first wife (well after they had divorced and unknown to Bill’s mother when Blythe married her). Ritzenthaler died in 2009, and is survived by a son, Charles, who lived in Paradise, California, at that time (see http://www.paradisepost.com/article/ZZ/20090114/NEWS/901149999 )
While Clinton will fight and delay providing any sample, Danny may get cooperation from Charles, who should carry at least the Y chromosome common to Clinton. If Danny and Charles have the same Y chromosome - it would make a very strong case.
If Clinton’s Blythe line and genealogy from his mother’s side was checked, Danny could find others willing to provide DNA samples to test for any relationships. With all the services now available (23 and me, ...), he could either find compelling evidence for the likelihood of Clinton being his father, or on the flip side at least find no apparent relationship.
Yes, that’s what it was. Right - and the Clinton camp stated the it proved he wasn’t Danney’s father.
Yes, the DNA would prove relationship - I did my DNA through ancestry and have been able to connect with 1 person who was proved to be my dad’s cousin - her mother conceived out of wedlock and was raised by someone who she thought was her dad, but learned late in life that he was not her biological dad. She and I shared so much DNA that we were able to figure out from other matches who her father was in my family!
As long as the Clinton side doesn’t offer up a DNA sample from Chelsea to test against Danny.... Since we know Chelsea won’t carry any of Bill’s DNA.
