The people have the ability to “term limit” their own congress critters, but unfortunately, they don’t do it.
The problem is the rule makers (Congress) won’t ever change the rules to limit their careers and power. We have a better chance to get Supreme Court limits
The perpetual bureaucracy is as much a problem as Congress, perhaps more so.
Kind of hard for voters to term limit critters when it is the critters doing the vote counting.
That's because of how successful the corruption is.
Millions of dollars, perks, help in all kinds of ways, paybacks for votes, and, as we saw in the O’Keefe video, even pay for votes, and it is almost impossible to dislodge a sitting Congressman through the vote.
The whole perverse lot needs to be thrown out. Term limits will do that.
Still, we need prosecution, conviction and sentencing.
THAT, more than anything, will roll back the corruption that's become so ubiquitous.
I don't know if his numbers are right,,or not.
The problem is..the Congressman that are there for 20-30-40 years...Because THEY are in control. THEY tell the newbies what to do..and how to do it.
There may well be a big 40% or so turnover....
But THAT doesn't matter....if 40-50-60% of those in Congress have been there...20-30-40 years...and are pulling the strings.
