My first election was Carter prior to this and being an impressionable survivor growing up through the hippie( either became outcast commies or yuppie commies) anti war years I voted Carter and ended up losing my job and almost lost my college days.
In the Carter vs Reagan election all you heard was how great Jimmah Peanut boy was doing in the polls and you didn't want to vote for "Bonzo" Reagan who couldn't even remember a few Hollywood lines. There was a real grass roots silent majority push back but this Trump campaign is huge comparatively.
He(Reagan) was already demonized back in the Woodstock days by Joan Baez and others. But the economy was so danged bad it was impossible for any thinker to vote Carter twice. That was the election I got a real dose of what was written and what was actually true/real.
That all being said, ATM, I do not see polls showing a Trump landslide. On 911 when hillary insulted american voters and passed out due to hiding her poor health, that might have been the case.
The polls are so blatantly biased that the results are absurd. I don’t think the Liberal Media are going to correct the polls near November 8. The Liberal Media, including Murdoch News, is going to do its best to convince Trump supporters that all hope is lost for them. They have gone all in.
I think the people are more polarized than ever. I doubt there are as many undecideds as they say. And I doubt there are any people that are going to change their minds.
I think the people planning to vote for Trump will crawl over broken glass to vote for him (or against Clinton). I expect high turnout - for Trump at least.
If the tape-gate scandal failed to change people’s minds, I don’t think anything will.
I think the debates are stupid - all he has to do is “survive” this last debate without his pants falling down, and he’ll retain whatever support he has now.
The question is, how much support does he have? Hopefully, the polls are wrong, and other indicators suggesting a lot of Trump support, such as yard signs, rally attendance and enthusiasm, etc. will be correct.
OK, so there’s my optimistic outlook.
When I think of the huge number of morons there are for each intelligent person I meet, that’s when my pessimism comes out.
Keeping fingers crossed.
Do I remember those days in 1980. I was 15 and unlike my fellow 15 year olds, I was politically aware. The big 3(ABC,CBS,NBC) were screaming Carter landslide.
This year reminds me of 1980, by the media desperation.
During the Carter years I was appalled and downright scared to tell anyone I voted for him especially when the Iranian crisis hit then the economy just fell apart. I bought in to the leftist propaganda because family and friends said so not to mention the professors. After that election I really began studying the pros and cons and ramifications.
Dana Perino said we should believe the polls. And just like that (sound of fingers snapping) I stopped watching The Five.
Your post #26, very well said and sentiments with which most Trump supporters will agree and identify.
Perhaps his real lead is much more in those states.
Well put!

That she will lose the vote is assured, but that doesn't mean she will not be sworn in.
See post 36 on this tread.......That is what I saw in Brexit...it is the hidden vote, no pollster can find ut...not that they want to..
Good luck great post, well said.
We only have 11,000,000 illegals but 65 million that don't speak English and you don't think they can manipulate an election. Alrighty then
Polls are NOT news..........
Im unclear with the logic. If you thought your candidate was behind wouldnt that encourage MORE to go out and vote to make sure they DO win?
Me neither and I remember Truman loses. I also remember these quotes.....
It is enough that the people know there was an election. The people who cast the votes decide nothing. The people who count the votes decide everything. Joseph Stalin
If voting made any difference they wouldn't let us do it."

Bump. Accolades to you. Excellent post.
Unless minors can vote, I’m not worried.
Anybody who believes that Gary Johnson is getting 7% isn’t thinking straight. IMO at least half of those votes will break for Trump when they actually get in the voting booth.
These state polls were taken last week. There is no way to say a poll is actuate if it includes data from last Wednesday.
