Although Schakowsky’s congressional district includes Chicago precincts and those in several outlying suburbs, her real base of operations is in the city of Evanston, Illinois, which is immediately north of Chicago. Under the “progressive” mismanagement of Creamer and Shakowsky, the formerly prosperous city of Evanston has become a nearly bankrupt financial basket case with skyrocketing taxes. Only the presence of Northwestern University keeps the city afloat.
Years ago, a former Chicago talk radio host, who was somewhat right of center, routinely invited Schakowsky to telephone his program. Since Jan loved free media, she always called in and exposed herself as being dumber than a box of rocks when questioned by the host or radio callers who joined in during the segments. While she was always spouting the party line, she was not very good at thinking on her feet or fielding questions. All she could do is recite slogans.
I am not sure if she fully comprehended that the radio host kept asking her to be a guest because he could make a mockery out of her.
