The parallels to 1788 France are uncanny. If elected Hillary will have her two estates, the elites and the media, and they will lock out the common people just assuming they are too dumb to know what is going on. Society is always near some sort of breaking point, and yet it very rarely breaks. Especially since the Industrial Revolution, the fact is society has a lot of momentum, and most folks to too busy to man the ramparts. People GROUSE constantly, especially on the internet, but that doesn’t mean crap. The fact that so many folks are pretending a second generation super rich guy isn’t part of the elite really shows you just how far society really is from any breaking point.

You are probably correct. This is far more ‘1984’ than 1788. Television, sports, pornography and drugs sap the masculine energy necessary to even attempt to reclaim traditional America.
But there is a huge disconnect. Just look at Bill Kristol and George Will. They really, truly, believed that there were millions of people who looked to them as gurus and would follow their lead on the GOP presidential candidate.
I often think that we Baby Boomers have lived the most care free and charmed life in the history of this violent world, and the time is coming very soon to pay the piper. In fact, the bill is past due.
If the left thinks they have deconstructed the military and police agencies of this country to the point that they will turn their guns on Americans then they are in for a big surprise.
Deplorables actually take their constitutional duties seriously.
It’s not TV, sports and porn, it’s life. People have bills and responsibilities and things that need to get done. You expect people to get evicted from their homes because they walked away from their jobs to go be part of the revolution? Really? We no longer live in a version of the world where you can just go alternative in your life, no longer can you build a cabin any old place plop the wife and kids down safely and go fight the good fight. The Industrial Revolution means we have jobs and paperwork that must be respected.

Something like this happened in France in the 18th Century and heads rolled! First to die—Muslims who fail to support the USA. Then Newspaper Reporters who have souled their souls to the Progressives—then left wing college professors. Then Hollywood producers and actors who think they can control how we think.
