My FIL had a very nice house in South Oak Cliff in the 1970s.
He was a very smart guy, but it still took having his home broken into several times before he finally got the message.
I understand it was a nice area in the 50s-early 60s. Blame Barefoot Sanders for most of the Dallas problems.
