First of all, apparently they don’t know what “covert” means.

Second, this shows that the CIA and every other alphabet agency is against the people. There is no evidence whatsoever who hacked the emails. In fact, if the CIA doesn’t know who hacked them, then the CIA is useless.

I don’t believe they were hacked. I believe they were leaked. And I believe the CIA KNOWS this. But the campaign, and the government, wants us to think it’s the Russians so they can eventually say that the emails were actually made up. If they admitted someone inside leaked them then they have to admit they’re real and there’s no “enemy” to blame.

Perhaps. I thought the motive was to resurrect the Russians as bad guys, and link Trump to them as irresponsible and unpatriotic, for short-term vote gain. If that's the case, Putin will eventually laugh it off, privately, of course.

It’s quite likely some sensible people within the CIA are spilling the beans on this to prevent this madness from being implemented.
