US Presidential Election Daily Tracking Poll
People's Pundit Daily ^ | 2016-10-14 | PPD

Trump is back up 41.5 to 40.9. This is the first time in 8 days. During the past 8 days, Clinton was up as much as 3.1%.

But, take a look at the historical data. Click on the CSV, and it will open it in Excel.

Clinton's support has been nearly constant, varying in a small range from 39.2% to 42.5%. Trump has had a much wider swing from 38.8% to 45.4%.

Then, look at the undecided column -- it varies from 2% to 8.9%. It's inversely correlated with Trump: when his support declines, the undecideds increase, and vice versa.

At least in this poll, the driving factor seems to be the people that are vacillating between undecided or voting for Trump.

What does this portend for the election? If this poll is representative, it's going to depend on whether the undecideds break for Trump or stay home (or vote for a third-party, which is the same as staying home). They don't seem to be interested in voting for Clinton.

Traditionally, undecideds break for the challenger. But, with all the mud being slung at Trump, I'm not sure that will happen this time.

You KNOW is lead is greater than that

I really do think we have a 1968 Nixon type media head exploding type thing going to happen election night. In the MSM echo chamber of NY\Chicago\Boston\L.A. everyone knows Trump is a bufoon, no sane person would vote for him..right? They live in a bubble where snarky cucked Beta male satirists like John Stewart or the Milk Chocolate idiot who took his place pontificate every night about how stupid we all are, how we question global warming..to healthy guffaws in the audience.

We will see if you are laughing election night. Keep woofing liberal idiots.

My wife of 33 years will be voting for Trump. This is the first time she has voted in an election in her 50 something years. One of my friends is also voting for the first time.

Could be that after the latest 'leak' about Trump, Trump voters turn 'shy'.

I’ve been saying this since DAY ONE!!! Hillary has had all the votes she was ever going to get a LONG time ago, and her max support is about 42/43%.

No one is going to vote for Hillary who hasn’t already committed to doing so, the rest are just deciding can they vote for Trump or not.

These swings may not be real. It may be Trump supporters who plan on voting Trump all along, but they claim to be undecided during bursts of negative publicity. Or they may really be rethinking their votes, and then deciding that rude and crude is better than corrupt and power hungry.

Could be. I sport a Trump bumper sticker along with a yard sign cut to fit the back window. Decided it would be wise to carry extra ammo since kitty cat gate.
