I think the point can be made via noting that Sid was not a federal employee as needed (which as FYI means his emails only b/came federal records if used in the course of Dept business - so some were if forwarded and acted on and some weren't if nothing was done with them). But not sure it is worth the technical debate.

So in your if pushed, you could say:

If any of the hackers can find those missing emails, it will be utterly devastating. Those emails were deleted because they show exactly why the US went into Libya.

They don't need to find them, they are out there. Foreign entities, multinational corporations and the NSA have everything that was on Hillary's servers. They are holding onto them in case she wins the election so that they can use them for leverage. They are potentially worth billions of dollars. If Trump wins they are worth nothing.

As voters we want someone who shares at least some of our values to be President. The people who have her emails and other information want someone who can be controlled. If the candidate is corrupt they like that even better because that guarantees they can be controlled. As far as the powers that be are concerned Hillary is a $5 whore who will do anything that they ask.

So I doubt whether the “deleted emails” will be released. They are worth too much to those who have them and it is like an investment that they are holding onto. It will be an act of God if they are released before the election.

I am not completely sure what is going on with Wikileaks, but I suspect the trickle is not for maximum effect but is merely the application of steady pressure to manipulate some type of concessions out of the Clinton's before the election. Assange is probably getting pretty tired of being holed up in the Ecuadorian Embassy. At least Snowden is able to basically have some freedom of movement.

The info in #59 has been out for nearly a week. As I said in my post, I do not doubt that her servers were hacked and that several entities have everything that was on them. But that information is being held on to so that it can be used to manipulate her if she is elected.

I am sure that the Chinese have it all, but do you think that they are going to help get Trump elected? Most multinational corporations would hold on to them as well. The Russians are a wild card. There is the possibility that a group unaffiliated with a foreign government has them but these groups are likely to look out for their own best interests which means selling them to the highest bidder.
