If the latest groping/kissing allegations against Trump hold up and I assume they will, based on quantity if not credibility it wont matter what Wikileaks says about Clinton. She will win easily.
If Clinton wins, youll wonder if this invalidates the Master Persuader Hypothesis. The short answer is no, because the concept doesnt account for unknowns of this magnitude. If a meteor had struck Trump a day before election day, it wouldnt say much about his skill as a persuader. The Master Persuasion Hypothesis worked splendidly until the double-whammy of the Access Hollywood tape and the octopus meteor.
Trump could still win, but only if some new and unexpected meteor strikes Clinton. Heres how I see it through the persuasion filter:
1. Facts and policies stopped mattering months ago. No one cares.
2. Wikileaks has no meteors to offer. The Wikileaks misdeeds involve people who are not Clinton, and they involve issues that are boring and a bit complicated. The public will not be much influenced by them.
3. The octopus line about Trump is engineered persuasion of the highest order. It makes the story deeply visual and extra-creepy. Godzilla, or someone similarly skilled, is probably behind that word. Its too engineered for a civilian to concoct during an interview. Thats professional work. And its probably a golden stake through Trumps political heart. (Well played.)
This is a good time to remind you that I endorse Gary Johnson because he only touches himself.
Anyway, getting to the point of this post, if Clinton wins, it will be because women voted for her in landslide proportions while men (on average) preferred Trump. And that means two things of historic importance.
1. We will elect the first woman to be President of the United States. Thats good for everyone.
and
2. Everything that goes wrong with the country from this point forward is womens fault.
I feel some relief about that. The next four years are likely to be some of the worst in our countrys history. The Republican establishment will make sure of that because a failed America is in their best interest in the short run. Four years from now they want to offer their chosen savior (Paul Ryan). Trump would have a good chance of bullying the Republican establishment as he has done so far. Clinton, not so much. Shell be buried in scandals, both real and imagined.
Men had a good run. We invented almost everything, and thats cool. But we also started all of the wars and committed most of the crimes. Its a mixed record to be sure. Now its time for something different, apparently.
Hillary Clinton is all yours, ladies. She and her alleged rapist husband are your brand now. Wear them well.
Wow.
Only an idiot thinks these were unknowns. We knew Trump was being sued for underage rape. We knew he was tied up with Jeffrey Epstein.
This is 100% the fault of people who willingly ignored all the red flags against nominating Trump.
Quite a reversal.
I don’t know if that lady knows an octopus has eight arms.
“2. Everything that goes wrong with the country from this point forward is womens fault.”
Problem with that is we thought the same thing when BO got elected, that is, we can finally stop listening to all this racism BS. If Hillary’s election would finally end this BS about oppression of women, that would be a silver lining, but it won’t.
Take your defeatism elsewhere, wuss.
Apparently Scott Adams is not weathering the stress well.
It will be all out war on both sides and this is no time to lose our concentration or confidence.
Dead-on take that she was fed that word by Clintonistas.
We nominated the strongest, toughest candidate to go up against the most corrupt Democratic candidate ever to run for President.
Have a little faith.
I think you are correct. I wonder if someone specific got to him.
If this was all known, why didn’t the GOP-e bring this out during the primary? They didn’t have any problem taking out Herman Cain in this way.
Trademark republicanism. After this election, I am a card carrying constitutionalist. The Constitution party is the only vote I cast.
And the rest of the nominees were DOA. Stuff it.
I may do the same. GOPe is nearly as awful as the dems. I may stay registered as a Republican to vote in primaries.
Good point. Keep in mind that Scott Adams was never one of us anyway. I always enjoyed Dilbert’s send-up of corporate bureaucracy, but I never got the impression Adams had any underlying political principles.
It's gonna get worse by an order of magnitude before its all over.
That said, I think these attacks on Trump a lies. If these women are telling the truth, they would have come forward before the last month of the election.
These attacks are coming from the Hillary campaign.
These charges are trumped up by the Hillary campaign.
I don’t know if any of the new allegations are true, but it seems suspicious that the accusers would all wait until the exact time when it would cause the most political damage to Trump.
I thought Trump was finished early on when he was critical of John McCain, POW hero, but he bounced back just fine. When he got into a dispute with the Khan family after the DNC convention, I thought it was probably over for him, but he still bounced back with fairly minimal damage. I wouldn’t count him out just yet, the depth of his support is astounding, I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything like it.
The sad reality is that a Cruz or any other GOP person would have been taken down by Hillary. At least Trump takes the fight to Hillary.
Hillary is going down, down, down.
