GOP Elite Want Trump’s Ideas and Supporters ‘Permanently Thrown Out’ of the Party
Trump Conservative ^ | 10/12/2016

The fireworks from this weekend's release of tapes showing Donald Trump engaging in 'locker room talk' have died down, but the Never Trump Republicans are continuing their campaign to not only rid their party of Trump, but his "ideas and supporters" as well.

In what is being described as a "coup attempt" within the GOP, it seems high ranking Republicans who were already vocal critics of Donald Trump had a part to play in the timed released of recordings showing Trump engaging in lewd talk regarding women.

Jack Posobiec, the Special Projects Director for Citizens for Trump, describes insiders within the GOP establishment expected Donald Trump to drop out of the race over the embarrassing tapes released, with Mike Pence heading up the ticket in his place. Pence would be expected to lose in November to Hillary Clinton, after supporters would be demoralized at Trump's dropping out, and the establishment could regain control of the party to start planning for a Ryan/Rubio 2020 ticket.

Posobiece also described the events of the GOP in detail during a video interview posted to Youtube yesterday.

Whoever brainstormed this plan, clearly does not know the level of resolve and dedication that Trump has to this movement. It also goes to show the level of arrogance that party insiders have, thinking that after everything Paul Ryan has done to attack the people's chosen candidate he would stand a chance of being elected President in 4 years. Although I'm sure these geniuses in the GOP upper ranks thought that by releasing these "embarrassing" Trump tapes, he would be discredited and even many of his staunch supporters would turn on him, giving the elites not only a victory, but a way of crushing the entire Trump movement as well.

However, Trump seems to have only been made stronger by this coup attempt, as he announced that the "shackles have been taken off" and he can now campaign the way he wants to.

Another ironic part of this story, is Donald Trump has stated before that the Republican party "doesn't know how to win", as they proved with both the Romney and McCain campaigns in the past 8 years. It seems Trump was right, as even the upper echelons of the GOP elite have grossly underestimated the support for Trump, while overestimating the public's perception of themselves.

The political elite will not be so easily unseated from power, however, as literally their very way of life is being threatened not only by Donald Trump, but his supporters, whose eyes have been opened to the systemic corruption and deceit that is so deeply ingrained within both political parties.

The GOP establishment still can't seem to understand the movement that Trump started, as many are convinced they will eventually oust Trump and everything will go back to the way it was. Getting rid of Trump, however, isn't enough for these elites, as they also want his "ideas and supporters" purged from the Republican party and ownership firmly back in the hands of the establishment.

From The Daily Beast:

The last two days have convinced anti-Trump Republicans not only that he will lose, but that there will be a prolonged civil war within the party. Trump not only needs to be humiliated at the ballot box, they say, but his supporters will need to be permanently thrown out.

A strategist for GOP Ohio Gov. John Kasich put the battle in vivid terms: “Sometimes the barn is so infested with rats you just have to burn the damn thing down and start over,” John Weaver tweeted Tuesday.

Never Trumpers will not be satisfied with merely being right, however. The war against Trump will not be over, in the view of many who have opposed him from the beginning, until not only he—but also his supporters and their ideas—are entirely detached from the party.

“After election day, a bitter and protracted civil war will have to be waged to be rid of this mindless and militant Trump cult and to save genuine conservatism’s place in Lincoln’s Republican Party,” said Richard Russell, a Republican who formerly served as an adviser to the U.S. military’s Central Command.

The responsibility for a loss does not end with Trump, these Never Trumpers say—the entire Republican Party apparatus will need to be tossed overboard and replaced, including Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus and other members of the Republican establishment that enabled the flawed nominee.

“After the election, there will be a reckoning,” said Carrie Cordero, who gave policy advice to Kasich during the governor’s presidential bid. “First step is Reince needs to go."
This above statements by GOP insiders should be a wake up call for every voter, proving to the public that the Republican party is only on the side of the people, as long as the people are going along with their established plans.

They don't just want to eject Donald Trump from the party, they want to destroy his ideas and the movement he started, otherwise the GOP will be fractured and they will never regain the power that they so desire to hold onto.

What these elites don't seem to realize is, win or lose, the Republican party will never be the same. The realities that Trump has brought to light this year will have long lasting repercussions within both political parties, as well as our government as a whole, and it's far too late for them to do anything about it. In fact, the more the Never Trumpers push, the harder the votes are going to push back. Now that the GOP elite have taken off their masks and revealed to the voters their true motives, which seem to revolve around maintaining their power and the status quo, there is no going back to the way things were.

You may be able to destroy a man, but you cannot destroy the idea and movement that was born from his passion.

No matter what the establishment throws at Donald Trump between now and the election on November 8th, his millions of supporters will not waver in their support for the American ideals he has brought back to life. This is something the political elite cannot understand, as their very claim to power depends on not clinging to any ideals, but instead doing what is in their own best interests despite the negative impact it may have on the country.

You can bet this battle for the Republican party is not over between the elites and the voters. No establishment politician who has been in power will relinquish their authority because of something they consider to be as insignificant as the people's choice, unless we unite send a clear message at the ballot box on November 8th.

If Trump’s ideas and supporters are thrown out of the Party, there is no party that can win anything. It is those same supporters that gave the Repubs the House and the Senate. These same party “leaders” just don’t seem to be smart enough to understand that their actions during the primary and most importantly since Trump became the nominee, has destroyed the party anyway. It is dead, they just don’t know it.

The Old Boys’ Network really, really don’t want to open their esclusive doors to outsiders.

The nation was founded to put an end to monarchy and the system of royal ‘blue bloods’; clearly, it’s been re-established.

Heard some GOP guy on the news last night talking about the manual “they” had carefully put together to guarantee a Republican win. Except for doing some limited outreach to the Black community he has failed to follow their guaranteed way to win.

Had to laugh. Apparently no one asked Trump how he felt about their manual. Apparently none of these folks have ever heard the saying about their being more than one way to skin a cat.

If Trump’s ideas and supporters were thrown out of the GOP. What would be left would be about the size of a Hellary rally. These morons don’t realize how small and isolated they are!

I just returned home from Donald J. Trump’s Rally in Ocala!

It was “sparsely” attended, only about a 12,000, standing room only crowd!
The man has energy, the right message and had the crowd on (our) their feet, cheering for all he had to say.
There were boos but only when he mentioned his unworthy opponent. The greatest chant was “LOCK HER UP!”
I say, “to hell with the republican party/establishment and operatives like Ryan, your day is done!

We have to defeat Hillary.

The most heartening aspect of the rally was that so many young people were there. Yes, there were we old fogies but also many folks who looked to be in their early twenties and some who were not old enough to vote.

Rudy Giuliani gave a great warm-up and was really cheered when he mentioned 9-11-01. Our hearts were heavy but lifted up.

What a high! Thank you Mr. Trump!

Yes.... the GOPe STILL DOES NOT GET IT. The whole reason Trump has risen, is due to we are sick of having the McCain, Romney, Paul Ryan, etc. crap shoved down our throats. Having career pols in DC who no more represent us than the man in the moon. If the GOPe wants to issue an ultimatum, it is like suicide for the “party”.

The American people should have seen the light when Bob Dole was shoved down our collective throats.

Without Trump and his supporters, the GOP will just be the Democrat auxiliary. They are insuring a crushing defeat of the GOP ticket with these tactics and, maybe, they are fine with that. Also, if Hillary wins and legalizes millions of illegals already here plus opening the border even wider to massive immigration, there will be no coming back for Conservatives and the US from its deconstruction and looting by enemies foreign and domestic.

When everyone was claiming that Trump would leave the race, when the media was gleefully running story after story, Trump was in his tower. Was he contemplating giving up? Maybe. But what happened next was that a thousand supporters came to Trump tower and cheered him on. He came out and mingled with the crowd. Then he went back in, refused to drop out, and came out swinging ever since.

Never think you don't have an influence.

By what right does ay advisor to Kasich speak of tossing out the rank and file?
These people are so carried away with their perceived self-importance. Gawd, I remember working with their ideological ancestors. Ugh.

There will be a third party. I know it is happening for a fact.

I'll be switching from the GOP after the election. I hope departing Trumpers will create a new third party, a party that will stand up to the Democrats.
