As fast and long Rush has been around espousing conservative principles and love for the republic, he changed in the primaries. Now he’s a died in the wool GOPe’r and anti-Trumper!

You’re right. I think he well knows that Hitlery would be several magnitudes worse than 0bummer’s been. And he’s seriously worried what she could to to America in as weakened a condition as we’re now in, after only 8yrs.
I listened to Rush faithfully for decades - since my kids were little and even got through on the phones once.
I remember how Rush ended his show on election day four years ago, suggesting there was going to be a landslide. Well, there was... but not for OUR side.
So I turned him off. Nothing personal... I turned everything off. All news. All newspapers. Free Republic. Drudge. ANYTHING.
Last year, I was convinced to watch the first Republican debate, and during the first question, this guy who I wouldn’t have taken seriously for a moment suddenly made my jaw drop open. He said: “I don’t have much room in my life for political correctness.” More than that - he stood up for himself and did not allow himself to be bullied by the leftist media. Then he went on to explain that the entire political system was rigged and politicians, in general, simply responded to whoever plowed enough money into their bank accounts. I had never heard anyone talk like this, ever - and I knew at once that none of the other candidates mattered AT ALL.
A month or so later, in the car, I put on Rush again for the first time in years. But he wasn’t the same guy. I expected HIM to be blown away by Trump - the first person in the political arena to speak the truth about the system to the American public...well, maybe EVER - but instead all I heard is evasion, an unwillingness to even mention Trump’s name, and, later, flat out nonsense about what a “wonderful” person Mitt Romney is (you know, the guy who did everything he COULD to derail Trump), and what a paragon of honesty Ted Cruz is (which is a joke). He’s come around a little since then, but, clearly Rush expects Trump to fail. He said as much today. And he doesn’t seem too concerned about that.
Jealousy? I don’t know. Is Rush really an open borders guy and therefore the ultimate concern troll? Is he just getting older? I don’t know. But this isn’t the guy I used to listen to, and that saddens me.
No argument on the stuff you mentioned. Just pointing out we heard that song fairness doctrine song 8 years ago.
