Anybody know how many nukes we could survive before Nuclear Winter kills everybody?
If you really want to get depressed, watch “Threads”.
Nuclear winter is only one problem. How about the collapse of infrastructure and transportation system? The current crops of food would not get to market.
We don’t grow food, we manufacture it with the aid of massive amounts of fossil fuels. With enough people dead and enough infrastructure destroyed, most of the world’s energy production would be kaput, and with it, the Green revolution.
Read Jared Diamond, “Collapse”. Modern civilization is fragile and interdependent. And that’s without nuclear winter factored in.
