you’ve got to be joking...they are outnumbered 5-to-1, they are being threatened, they are surrounded and the protestors do nothing when the guys in the truck ask them to move...the video does not substantiate the claims made about comments coming from inside the truck..
Maybe we need a law rather like the “Stand Your Ground” law for the highways. If you are on a highway you have a legal right to be on, someone who illegitimately attempts to impede your progress can be defined as a deadly threat.
Leave it up to jury to determine if you were reasonable about it or not. Dashcams or phone video would remove doubts.
People who attempt to stop your legitimate progress are coming very close to kidnapping.
If someone reached in, or was breaking a window, the driver would have a better defense.
