I’ve been looking at that thread and unless I misunderstand the numbers (completely possible) those numbers aren’t terribly favorable either, though not totally disastrous.

Dem voters are requesting ballots at a higher RATE, not a higher NUMBER.

Lies, dammed lies, and statistics.

IMO, I don't care if x% more Dem ballots are requested than last year. What I care about is that there are x% more Republican ballots cast.
