I think it is just a subconscious "thing," like nervous leg. She does it when she speaks at rallies too, a sort of self-approval and agreement with the applause. Then she refers to notes for the next applause set-up and line, nodding more and more the closer to the end of the segment.

I did notice her rub the side of her nose the same way she did during the Lester Holt sessions.

Yes, I noticed that also. However, I don’t remember what the face scratching business was related to.

At her age, I can not imagine how her nerves can still hold up. She has never been hit before like TRUMP and our side of the media have been hitting her. The pressure is increased for the weaker sex. Maybe that is why she announces drinks on the plane, as she reportedly likes to drink, certainly after debates.
