I guess nothing wrong with it if you like it. Most prefer steak medium rare and anything past medium ruins the steak in my opinion.

Also, having worked in the restaurant business for a while, here's a dirty secret: Patrons ordering meats well done gives the restaurant an opportunity to use cuts of meat they otherwise were about to throw away. Overcooked meat tastes the same whether the meat was fresh or not.

We would always keep older meat aside for a while in the chance somebody would order it well done.

YIKES....many thanks for all of that info!

I like mine medium well to well done and yes, I CAN tell if I've been given "bad" meat/cut and DO send it back, if I have been so treated.
