The level of Paul Ryan’s perfidy is astounding. Ryan knew about this tape and then said he would campaign with Trump for the first time. Now we see this was a setup so Ryancould then, after the tape’s release (the day before the his first campaigning with Trump), publicly denounce Trump and say is “no longer” going to campaign with or support Trump.
After Trump I will not longer vote Republican. I cannot vote Republican ever again. You could not waterboard me into voting Republican ever again. I’ve voted straight Republican since Ronald Reagan. If Trump loses, I’m done.

My thought was that Ryan will be better than Pelosi, not that Ryan is in any way ideal.
The House is in no danger. There are so few competitive races due to gerrymandering and the GOP has a large majority. That’s what makes Ryan’s treason so despicable. He is opposing Trump for selfish and policy reasons.

Access Hollywood Producer Rob Silverstein and a team were already working on this story when it was leaked to Farenthold at the Washington Post. Silverstein’s story was also known inside parent company NBC.
It’s certainly possible that the leak was done by someone friendly to Trump, who could reasonably suspect that the story could be held back and released a day or two before the general election.
Not much point in Ryan leaking it when it was destined to be public anyway. Ryan is a creepy traitor regardless.

It's amazing that there are those who still believe we have more than one political Party in this country. With the exception of Trump and very few others, voting GOP is like going to a Harlem Globetrotter's game and rooting for the Washington Generals.
The political system is rigged with all but nine GOP members supporting Ryan for Speaker last time out.
I don’t expect that to change after the election results come in and the Republicans caucus to pick a Speaker.
It will take more than politics to change things in the USA.
The main problem I see is that the big GOP donors basically support the progressive agenda. They may talk a good game occasionally but when the rubber hits the road they won’t fight the Dims. Look how little they are spending to defeat Hillary Criminal. As long as that is the case the rank and file GOP is going to continue to flip the bird to their constituents. Most are in safe seats and don’t give a flip what we think.
