Mark’s fill-in today, Inga Barks, sounds as if she has been drinking or is otherwise impaired.
Agreed.
I knew something was wrong with her before I heard a dozen words out of her mouth.
She’s not making a fool of herself yet, and she’s certainly doing better than I could sitting in front of that mike, but something is definitely wrong with her tonight.
Booze? Pills? A little Friday afternoon shenanigans at the Bakersfield station? Did it only occur to her after her third Vodka & Sprite that she was filling in on national radio tonight?
At moments it’s almost painful to listen, knowing how well she normally does, but overall she’s holding her own, I guess.
I think Mark may be wanting to have a word with her about it, and hopefully we haven’t heard the last of her, because she’s a good conservative and a good host and I like her as a fill-in for Mark.
That said, Barks was fired from her first station KMJ in Fresno after she was arrested for public intoxication. I hope she's not having a relapse in judgment.
