I just don’t think Speaker Ryan and President Trump can work together, period.
We are seeing right now a preview of the Speaker Ryan and POTUS Trump relationship. It will be one FU after another from Ryan to POTUS Trump. He’s safe and backed up by the media. He won’t willing give an inch to Trump, IMO. Ryan will fight for K Street to the end.
Maybe but the other GOP house members might see it differently. If Trump wins and say wins big, these members might conclude its politically wiser to “go with the flow” and find a new speaker. Ryan can keep his “safe seat” and go be Chairman of the House Cheese Committee.
