The conservative Christian right (excluding the Mormons) is only group that has consistently stood up to the GOP establishment. We did not want Romney or McCain, Bush, etc... That is why they hate us more than Obama or Hillary. Even though many of us are not official Tea Partiers, we certainly espouse virtually everything the Tea Party stands for.
You are correct. Mormonism is non-sense. But lets not throw the baby out with the bathwater. Christianity is true. God's word is true (when not adulterated by false teachers like Joseph Smith and Charles Taze Russell.) The American Experiment was initiated faithful men and women who came here seeking a country whose foundations were based on Godly principles. That is what America had until those foundations were destroyed (Psalms 11). By quoting scriptures, we are merely showing the obvious. Nations that honor the God of the Bible, the God of Israel, will prosper (Psalms 33). Nations that forget God will be cast into hell (Psalms 9).

I am quite surprised that Donald Trump passes your “religious litmus test.” And just “whose Christianity” is the “right Christianity?” Your brand, but not your nextdoor neighbors, because he goes to that “other denomination?” And how about the Televangelists, are they really in it for “Christianity,” or just for the money. I know, let’s ask Joel Osteen what’s really “in his heart ( read wallet).” I am not “sure” about anything regarding religion, and those who say they are “sure,” “think” with their hearts not their heads. But if what you say is true about supporting Trump, that’s a good thing. For once, you are going to help your country.
