Top Talkers: After a bruising weekend, Donald Trump debated Hillary Clinton Sunday evening in St. Louis. While Trump certainly appealed to his base, did he win over others? The Morning Joe panel discusses.

True, with one minor caveat: one of the media lies about Trump is that he doesn’t have the “gravitas” to be President of the United States - that he’s a wild lunatic - etc. etc.
So in Debate #1, one thing he needed to show was a calm demeanor - to give the lie to that canard. He did that very well.
But perhaps too well for our FR taste.
I don’t think we have that complain this time around!
I sort of agreed with you regarding the first debate but now after the second debate its clear his more “relaxed” demeanor in the 1st debate was a strategy. Remember these “TV debates” are theater. It’s the “emotion packed drama” that persuades the “low infos”. Scott Adams is certainly right about what motivates the “undecided low info” its emotion.
The next time, when one of the moderators interrupts him, I'd love to hear him say something like "For the last two debates you have been quiet as church mice when Hillary spoke, but constantly interrupted me when it was my turn. I AM TELLING YOU NOW, SHUT UP!" (would really prefer "SHUT THE HELL UP!")
Then continue, "A lot of fluff has been discussed in those last two debates, now let's get down to how we can reverse this nation's decline - economically and politically."
Is there a problem with reading comprehension at FR or is itjust people on this thread?
