The campaign trail will do it to you. I travelled quite a bit during the 2013-2014 period and packed on 30 pounds. All those hotel rooms and restaurants. The restaurants pile on extra butter, oil and sugar, even if you think you are selecting healthy dishes. Even a salmon dish in a restaurant can be 2,000 calories (600 at home). When I worked in a restaurant, we put almost a quarter pound of butter into every dish to make everything taste good and we went through gallons of olive oil every shift. Butter and olive oil are good for you but not that much.

Cookies are loaded with either butter or trans-fats.
