In Philly, Sanders says what Clinton said to Wall Street behind closed doors 'is fine'

If former Democratic presidential nominee Bernie Sanders is bothered by the release of hacked emails that suggest Hillary Clinton had a cozy relationship with Wall Street, he isn’t showing it.

“Whatever Clinton may have said behind closed doors, that’s fine,” Sanders said in Philadelphia on Saturday, according to CBS3....

Sanders has long supported bringing back the Glass-Steagall act, which was enacted after the Great Depression to stop commercial banks from engaging in the investment business. It was reversed by then-president Bill Clinton in 1999.

The remarks are a change of tone for Sanders, who criticized Clinton’s relationship with Wall Street during the Democratic primary and repeatedly called on her to release the transcripts from her paid, closed-door speeches.

I read his wife’s family left her a house they sold and bought the $600,000 one. Curious timing.

He endorses saying one thing to big donor groups, and the complete opposite to the public.

Please everyone, stop telling me Hillary is not a socialist.

“Whatever Clinton may have said behind closed doors, that’s fine,” Sanders said in Philadelphia on Saturday...

What an absolute tool.

Yet Trump talks trash about women in a private conversation to one other guy and that is not OK. I hope this whole debate isn’t about sex scandals, as I am more interested in bringing this country back, and I’m sure most voters are too.

I would only add that there is a big difference between private broggadacio and trash talk and conspiracy against the public interest.

Some of the old Commies went to their deaths uncomplainingly in the Stalin purges because they were so dedicated to the cause.

But Bernie doesn’t have that excuse. He’s not a lifelong Democrat. No need to sacrifice himself for them.

I’d say he combines the Communist subordination of individual integrity, with the weakness of character of the political hack.

These debates are all about tarnishing the image of Trump so the uniparty can win. That is the sole purpose of these debates.

Agreed. In the court of public opinion she is guilty as sin. He just said some things in private that he assumed he was saying in private. I cannot count how many times in my life I have said the wrong things and regretted them. Who hasn’t? However, I could never ever stoop so low as to stand in front of grieving parents and their dead childrens coffins and lie about my role in their deaths. I just heard a gentleman say “if it weren’t for double standards, the democrats would have no standards at all”! How true.

Likely preceded by a harsh verbal exchange.

Sanders must have been bought off. There is one thing about Communists, they still like money. They just think stealing it from the people is a easier way to get it.
