Thank you Anderson for that question. I figured your first question would involve my audio from 11 years ago, because for you and your colleagues in the media it would seem like the perfect basis for a gotcha question, or as Paul Ryan called it, the elephant in the room.
Let me tell you what the elephant in the room is what the real question should have been Anderson, it should have been why do Americans despise the media? That is the real question and the one I will answer for you because this will likely be the last presidential debate to be moderated by you and your friends; because the people will probably demand a different forum from now on. Why? Because you in the media are, almost all, patently dishonest and corrupt. For some reason you’ve taken what used to be an honorable profession and convinced yourselves that having your finger on the scale is a necessary deed in order to elect a liberal who parrots your same worldview. You think I’m arrogant? That is arrogance, my friend.
Now before you gasp and collectively clutch your pearls in disgust because I called you out on your dishonesty, remember one thing. All of this, the entire campaign is about the American people, not you and obviously not me. That is why they still support me in spite of the fact that there have been times I’ve been a jerk and said some exceedingly stupid and crass things. Now that said, is what I said embarrassing and humiliating? Of course! I’m not going to stand here and pretend it isn’t embarrassing. But once again it isn’t about me. That is also why they give me a little bit of a pass because I don’t lie to them like you do. Also, they know when I said I would try to be a better man in the future, that I meant it. And I do. Because I’m in it for them.
They are sick that you and the media are corrupt. They are sick that the FBI and the IRS have been weaponized against them. And most of all, they are sick that too many of us have forgotten how to be Americans anymore. We don’t know how to defend ourselves and we certainly don’t remember how to win.
And one last thing Anderson, they have seen the cost of corruption and political correctness up close and personal. That is why they know Hillary should be in prison, not standing there with her mouth agape. So, there’s some real, politically incorrect truth for you to consider Anderson. The kind of truth that needs to be understood if we are going to MAGA.
