GOP vice presidential nominee Mike Pence will no longer attend a campaign event on Saturday with House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.), according to reports.
Ryan was originally scheduled to appear with Donald Trump, but Trump was dropped from the event in the wake of the Washington Post publishing leaked audio of Trump making vulgar comments about women in 2005.
Pence was supposed to attend in his running mate’s place. But the Indiana governor is "not going to the Wisconsin GOP event today,” according to NBC News.
Pence decided himself not to attend the event and was not uninvited by Ryan, according to a Politico reporter. Trump's campaign is under siege from Republicans on Saturday in the wake of the leaked audio. Four GOP senators have called for him to leave the party's presidential ticket, another said she won't vote for him, and two House members unendorsed him.

If it hurts down ballot it’s a sign the state and local people are not connected with their constituents to a degree where federal issues don’t sway local loyalty.

I’m sure when Trump made those statements eleven long years ago, he thot’ he, too, was out of ear shot. This is just one “dirty trick” among many Hillary has up her sleeve, and I predict we’ll be seeing more of the same. Consider the source.

Just heard that Jason Chaffez is whining that “he just can’t vote for Trump”. his little virgin ears couldn’t take it. God the republicans make me want to vomit.
Yup. He’s another empty suit who never got his hands dirty actually DOING something in the private sector.
Could simply be damage control meetings. Could be something more serious although from what I read it is almost impossible at this point to make any changes to the ticket. Just doubt it was meant to put Ryan in his place.
