And *the faith* doesn't save anyone. Jesus saves people and placing your faith in HIM.
If someone is putting their faith in *the faith* or a religious system or church or denomination, then they are doomed and going to hell.

Longevity certainly makes a case better than following an English king playing pope or a misguided German priest who adapts his faith to convince himself he is saved.
