Did Romney even think before he wrote that? He's the guy who didn't bother to work against gay marriage in Massachusetts.
Didn't he think that legalizing gay marriage, whatever you think of it, wouldn't serve to "demean and corrupt America's face to the world?" And wouldn't the effect of his actions as the governor of Massachusetts have more effect than a private conversation on a bus somewhere?
The #nevertrump crowd knew this was coming. That is why they have been in the news lately with fake “support” for Mr. Trump. They were positioning themselves for this moment.
The Republican Establishment foolishly thinks that this will be a devastating blow to the Trump campaign and they will assist it’s effectiveness by pulling their support because of what Mr. Trump said. Do you really think it was a coincidence that Mr. Ryan holds a press conference announcing some out of the blue legislative scheme for no reason? Is it not odd that just a day ago a group of 30 Republican Establishment has beens come out with a statement of why they will not support Mr. Trump. Notice how quickly Mitt Romney and other known #nevertrump dolts have released statements condemning Mr. Trump.
The amusing part of this is that the bow tie penny loafer crowd that make up the Republican Establishment cannot see how idiotic and fake their hyperventilating distress over regular guy locker room talk makes them look.
Break out the smelling salts and crisis counseling shelters.
