I’m dubious about any statement about another person’s future actions that starts with “Doubtless ...”.

The reason I say doubtless is that this is a well established Donald M.O.
Of course maybe Donald might keel over of a heart attack in which case the doubtless thing will not happen.
But this is kind of like expecting the tide not to roll in again.
