Why are we in Syria? Did Congress vote on this? Was I asleep that day?

No, the people are supposed to have the say over war, but, congress refuses to do its duty.

I don't know anyone who's looking for a war with Russia. Anyone. And over Syria and ISIS? What the frak?
There's NO GOOD REASON to get into a war with Russia over Syria except maybe for DC to distract the public with a last ditch effort to drum up some fake unity and throw the election - they'd be literally committing murder and plundering whatever's left of the Treasury to try to stay in power.
Obama/Clinton/Dems have no mandate to get us into a war with anyone. They're seen as illegitimate by at least a third of the country. You don't get into war with Russia with the fragmented politics we have now.
The Russians would be almost totally united.
If Obama/Clinton try to slick their way into getting us into war, it'll be the biggest mess since Vietnam. It would be a clusterfrak that'd make Iraq and Vietnam look like a weekend on the beach.
Worse even - that'll mean a war with no popular support, which will mean a half-as$ed one with more American lives lost, not that these people give a damn. It's just the lives of "deplorables" at stake.
