One of my favorite books is “Miriam’s Kitchen” about a Jewish-Polish holocaust survivor who ends up in The Bronx. All of her meals are derived from that geographical source. While some of the book is very hard to take, the recipes are very interesting and unique. Polish cookery is quite amazing!

Pierogi are delicious!

Pierogi (pronounced /pɪˈroʊgi/ pi-roh-ghee[1]), also known as varenyky, are filled dumplings of East European origin.[2][3] They are made by wrapping pockets of unleavened dough around a savory or sweet filling and cooking them in boiling water.
