CANTON, Ohio — A woman standing near the back of a Democratic rally here got former president Bill Clinton's attention Wednesday when she held aloft a T-shirt hand-lettered to say, "Bill Clinton A Rapist.”
As rally-goers shouted "get her out of here,” the woman called out, "Bill Clinton has harmed women,” as she paraded the T-shirt before television cameras. Clinton himself repeatedly raised his voice to be heard over the commotion.
As she was being ushered out, Clinton told the crowd to pay the demonstrator no mind.
"I love it when people come into my rallies, and it's a dead giveaway when they don't want to have a conversation, because they know they'll lose,” Clinton said to applause at the rally at a training center for Ironworkers Local 550.
Clinton's address was the closing event for a two-day bus tour through Ohio in support of his wife, Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. The trip mostly took him to blue-collar towns where Republican Donald Trump has found an audience.
As she's being shoved out? HA! It's a dead giveaway that you didn't engage her in a dialogue.
