I have a condo under contract in New smyrna Beach (just south of Daytona). I have no clue how this will or should shake out.

One impact is the inability to get insurance. We had that happen in 2004 with a property we rehabbed. Had to wait until the moratorium was lifted so buyers could complete the deal. I expect the same still happens today.

Yeah, that’s a good point. I imagine there will be a ton of flooding and it’s a first floor unit. I’ve heard that we may be forced to reappraise if there’s damage to the unit and/or complex.

I am PRAYING this storm falls apart. Praying for cold water!
